Icon Relating to subject

(Optional)Pattern Overlay
OK, now to make one:
1. Start a new photoshop document, mine is 350 x 19 pixels
2. Now think of a theme. I am going to make a Cinema 4D User tag.
3. Find the Icon that relates to it. Well howabout the logo to Cinema 4D:

4. That is a bit big, isn't it? Well I am going to keep it about that size, and just place it where you can just see the top:

5. Now to finish the background, I jsut filled the rest of the "transparent squares" with white.
6. For the text, you NEED to use a small font. A simple search on Google found hundreds. Now, I just typed Cinema 4D User, and placed it in the middle on the right side.

7. Now that looks a bit blank, right? So that is where the pattern comes in. Make a new layer, and then create a new photoshop document, this one has to be 5px by 5px. Now use the 1px pencil tool, and make a diagonal line, stretching from the top left, to the bottom right. Now go to Edit >> Define Pattern, and name it anything you want. You can now exit that PS document. Pull up your first document, and on the new layer, go to Edit >> Fill. On the dropdown box, choose "Pattern". Where it says Custom Pattern, go and find the diagonal line that you just made, and click OK. WOA! That is dark! Well simply change the opacity of that layer to about 15%.
8. Now for the border. Make a new layer. Using the rectangle marquee tool, select your whole document. Then go to Edit >> Stroke. Make it appear on the INSIDE, have the color set to BLACK, and make sure it is only set to ONE PIXEL.
